Hillsong Church Connecticut hosted a Back to School Festival at the Carver Community Center on Saturday, August 31st for the benefit of our community’s children as they prepare to return to school. The event in the Carver gym included music, food, games, and free haircuts, back packs, and school supplies.
Hillsong Church is a contemporary Christian church founded by Brian and Bobbie Houston in 1983 in the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia. Now, Hillsong has churches in city centers in 23 countries around the world, including right here in Norwalk where the local congregation worships on Sundays at the Wall Street Theater. The global church has an average attendance over 130,000 people weekly.
